Why I want to shoot this style .. ?

I’ve been plugging away at Photography for just 3 years (got into it by a stray email, long story!), and within that time I’ve learnt a great deal.  Now I have never really seen myself as a photographer or if it would be something I would continue to make a career out of.  For the past 2 years I have been applying this trade to the Pole Fitness industry where I have travelled the world photographing the best of the best.  During this time I have amounted credibility and now, I’m considered to be one of the top in the industry.  As much as I love this style, I yearned for something else as well, a way of venting my other creative side.

I have loved the SuperHero genre for many years, watching cartoons, reading comics and studying movies.  Now, I will put my hand up and say I don’t know everything and I’m sure to some, know only a little but is has been enough.  Well, until now.  It made complete sense to combine my love of the Supers with my love of photography, bringing SuperHero Photography to the table.

For the past 2 weeks my mind has been on overload and I have gained a new creative thirst for my photography.

My aim now … to be the best in this genre. I want to photograph the best in the industry, those who have the best costumes/props and who can portray their namesake convincingly.

My style will be more angled towards the dark/moody/gritty style, to try bring out the emotion of the character.  I want people to look at the image and think that it could possibly be from a movie still or poster.

Only time will tell ….
